The Northville Rotary Foundation has announced the creation of two new scholarships to be awarded to Fulton-Montgomery Community College students.
The first scholarship is in the amount of $500.00 and will be awarded to a student selected by FMCC who is a resident of the Greater Sacandaga region. They must be registered in a two year AAS program including Applied Health, Construction Technology, Electrical Technology, Facilities Maintenance and Industrial Technology, or Entertainment Technology. If the student remains in good academic standing and is matriculated for a second year in the same program, he or she will be awarded an additional $500 in the following school year to finish the AAS program.
The second scholarship beginning in 2022 is the Endowed Northville Rotary Foundation Scholarship: in Memory of Rotarians Barbara Curnow, Beth Smith, and Priscilla Horesco, This yearly scholarship will be awarded to a resident of the Greater Sacandaga region who is enrolled in a one year certificate program at FMCC.
The endowment of $10,000 was created through the kind and generous donations of Northville Rotarians and Friends of Northville Rotary and will provide a $500 yearly scholarship in perpetuity. This is the first, and hopefully the beginning of future endowments and projects, through the Northville Rotary Foundation.
Interested parties should contact FMCC or their school guidance counselor for further information and to apply for either scholarship.
